Three Men Are Missing After Falling Off Boat in Potomac River
DC Police said Tuesday that they recovered three bodies from the Potomac River and Anacostia River within 24 hours
MPD’s Harbor Patrol Unit pulled a body from the Potomac River near the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) shoreline Monday afternoon.
Early Tuesday morning, a second body was recovered from the Potomac River near the Alexandria Waterfront; Alexandria Fire Boat assisted with that recovery.
A third body was found shortly after noon in the Anacostia River along the JBAB shoreline.
Police have not yet identified the three bodies.
Rescue crews in D.C. are trying to find three men who fell off a boat in the Potomac River Sunday evening and didn't resurface.
Numerous agencies and the D.C. Police Harbor Patrol responded to an area of the Potomac River near Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Southwest D.C. about 5:40 p.m.
Several people reported that they saw three people go in the water.
D.C. Fire and EMS said at 8 p.m. that after an extensive search in the area, they are now treating the incident as a recovery operation.
D.C. Police have identified the men as 26-year-old Mustafa Haidar, 23-year-old Omid Rabani and 28-year-old Ahmad Noory.
