Teen charged as an adult with attempted murder of 16-year-old in Laurel.
A 17-year-old has been charged as an adult with attempted murder following a stabbing of another teen.

Anne Arundel County Police said they responded to a call around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday for an assault in the area of Marganza South and Wenona South in Laurel
Investigators identified the individual who stabbed the victim as James Alexander Cantoral, 17, of Laurel. He was arrested and transported to central booking for processing where he was charged as an adult.
Investigators say the suspects involved in the altercation later located the 16-year-old in the area of Marganza South and Wenona South and assaulted him. During the assault, one of the suspects stabbed the victim. The suspects fled.
Cantoral is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, attempted second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and dangerous weapon charges with the intent to injure.
