Several people were injured after police pursuit in Baltimore
Several people were injured after a police pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle accident in east Baltimore Thursday
the accident happened at East Biddle and North Bond streets around 4 p.m.
Baltimore police tried to stop a vehicle in the northeast district and ended up taking off. A city police helicopter, Foxtrot, told ground units to back off and followed the fleeing vehicle from above.
The reason for the attempted stop is unknown.
The vehicle ended up in the eastern district at a very high speed and crashed into a car that was going northbound on North Bond Street, Taylor said.
A suspect who bailed out of the vehicle was apprehended by police. Several people who were injured in the accident have been transported to area hospitals.
The crash is under investigation.
