Miami police officer wearing a Trump mask while in uniform at a polling station will be disciplined
A Miami police officer who was photographed wearing a pro-Trump mask while in uniform at a polling station will be disciplined, according to the city's police chief. Officer Daniel Ubeda was reportedly at the polling location to cast his vote for the 2020 presidential election when he was seen sporting a mask that said 'Trump 2020' and 'No More Bullsh*t.' Miami's deputy police chief told the Miami Herald that Ubeda's decision to wear the mask reportedly violated department policies against both 'offensive language' and 'campaigning while on duty.'
The photo of Ubeda's mask was taken by Steve Simeonidis, a local attorney and chair of the Miami-Dade Democratic Party. 'He may have been going to vote. But he was in full uniform with the mask and a gun. That’s voter intimidation,' Simeonidis said.
