Man dies after shooting at candlelight vigil in Gaithersburg
Montgomery County and Gaithersburg Police is investigating the man who was shot and killed on Sunday evening near a candlelight vigil.
Officials were called sunday about 6:11 p.m. to the area of South Frederick Avenue near Cedar Avenue
Police say a candlelight vigil was being hosted in the area where the man was shot.
Darius Cooper, age 25, of Dairymaid Drive in Germantown was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and later died at the hospital.
