Dashcam Show Robbery of a man in downtown Silver Spring, MD
The police department of Montgomery County is investigating the armed robbery of a man in downtown Silver Spring. The Police Department posts a recording of the robbery caught by the victim's in-car (dashboard) camera and investigators asks for someone with information.
At about 6:53 p.m. on Friday, December 18, the victim was feeding a parking meter at the public parking garage located at 8110 Fenton Street when the suspect approached him. In his late 20s to early 30s, the perpetrator, identified as a short, heavy-set black male, pointed a pistol at the victim and demanded his wallet.
The victim did not have his wallet so the suspect demanded the victim's cellular phone and its passcode. The suspect threatened to kill the victim multiple times during the robbery. The suspect was last seen entering the driver's seat of a dark color SUV.
