Darnestown Liquor Store Closed After Employees Test COVID-19 in Montgomery County
The Coronavirus has infected three employees of a Montgomery County liquor store.
The Montgomery County Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services announced Monday afternoon that it had temporarily closed one of its liquor stores after three employees tested positive for the virus.
The infections occurred among employees of the Darnestown Liquor and Wine, located at 12155 Darnestown Rd. In the city of Gaithersburg.

The first case was reported last Tuesday and a few days later it was confirmed that two more employees had been infected.
Department officials said cases were immediately reported, the facility was disinfected.
However, as a precaution, the department has decided to temporarily close the liquor store.
All employees have been quarantined and placed on paid administrative leave for two weeks.
The liquor store has a tentative reopening date of July 20.
