Brady Santos charged with Burglary in Silver Spring; as He Attempts to Flee Area
A man was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary after allegedly stealing from storage units in the Silver Spring area. Brady Santos, 31, from Washington, D.C.
Officers responded to a call at 9 a.m. on November 19.At the Extra Room Storage center at 7722 Fenton St. for theft. Police say a business worker told them that someone had been seen entering and leaving the premises through a safe metal fence. The employee also told the police that he thought the perpetrator was Santos, a former client at the D.C. Extra Storage Room facility. Who was banned from all areas.
The suspect profile was given to officers by police radio, and one officer fit Santos' description when he was seen heading down Fenton Sreet to Burlington Road.
As the officer yelled for Santos to stop, Santos bolted and threw away the luggage and the two bags he was wearing. Later, the instruments used to commit robbery were placed both on Santos and in his pockets.
Officers intercepted and arrested Santos in the 8000 block of Georgia Ave. Detectives are looking into the likelihood that Santos has committed additional storage burglaries in the city.
