Angel Moises Rodriguez-Gomez charged with Stalking, Burglary in Hagerstown, MD

At approximately 10:24 pm on November 22nd, 2020, officers with the Hagerstown Police Department responded to a suspected burglary in the area of 121 Manor Drive, Hagerstown, MD. Upon arrival, police approached a woman who said a male had just climbed and entered her apartment on her balcony.

The victim was forced to run to a different house and was un-injured. At this time police were able to procure a recording of the incident from the witness. Detectives immediately launched an investigation into this theft and were able to identify the suspect as Angel Moises Rodriguez-Gomez, 36 years was also discovered to be living next to where the incident happened.


Video shows 'stalker' break into Hagerstown woman's home


On November 24, 2020, Rodriguez-Gomez was taken to Police Headquarters for interrogation and subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree, Burglary 4th degree, Assault 2nd degree Stalking and Malicious destruction of property. Rodriguez-Gomez was sent to the Detention Facility in Washington County, where a District Court Commissioner saw him. After seeing the Commissioner, Rodriguez-Gomez was released on an unsecured bond, pending his court date.

While there is a video of this incident posted on many social media platforms, the Hagerstown Police Department would like to reiterate that Rodriguez-Gomez is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
