A Pedestrian Died after being struck by a motor vehicle in Williamsport, MD

Approximately at 7:30 PM, The Washington County Sheriffs Responded To Virginia Avenue in the area of Donelson Drive, Williamsport, MD, for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.



Police announced it on a Facebook post that an adult men die at the scene of the collision.

Police are asking to avoid that area



The preliminary investigation determined that a pedestrian, dressed in dark-colored clothing, crossed Virginia Avenue and was struck by a Kia Forte traveling in the southbound lane. The pedestrian, who was identified as Kenneth Wendell Allen, 86, of Williamsport, MD, was deceased at the scene. The deceased was transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Baltimore, MD, for autopsy. The front seat passenger of the Kia was transported to Meritus Medical Center for the treatment of minor injuries, the driver was uninjured. At this time, illegal drugs, alcohol or speed does not appear to be a factor in the collision.



The investigation into this incident is on-going
