A Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputy Was Involved In Accident
FREDERICK, Md. A Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputy was flown to the Shock Trauma unit, for non-life threatening injuries sustained in a vehicle rollover on Nov. 11, near east bound Interstate 70 and alternate Route 40, in Frederick. The deputy, not responding to a call for service, was involved in a single vehicle incident at approximately 3 p.m., with no other vehicles involved. The vehicle rolled over and members of the Frederick County Department of Fire and Rescue Services responded and safely removed the deputy.
The deputy, transported by helicopter to Shock Trauma for further evaluation, was released and is now recovering at home. The incident is currently under investigation and the FCSO asks anyone with information related to this accident to contact FCSO Sgt. Bart Ruppenthal at 301-600-1046.
